~The Draconians~

Draconians are the offspring of the breeding of the water dragon Cachera Nacria (I r smurt. -Zeph) and a human male. This race, containing a fraction of a dragon's might in a tiny humanoid frame, retain many features of their dragon ancestry. In fact, they basically still are dragons. Each one is covered from head to toe (or claw, if you prefer) in thick scales, shining in brilliant shades of gold, silver, red, orange, blue, green, and black. Their eye colouration is usually a darker variant of their scale colour. Hair colour is, again, often a similar colour to the scales of the draconian, though some choose to shave their heads, and be more like their dragon ancestors. A key feature of Draconians is their wings. Draconians wings develop as they grow. For the first 150 years of life, a Draconians wings are useless to them, as they are weak and flimsy. After that age, the wings start to harden, and grow. By 200 years of age, the Draconian can use their wings to propel themselves into the air briefly. By 300, they can use them for flight. As a side note, due to being taken in by those that did not create them, Draconians despise the existence of gods and elementals. No Draconian will willingly submit to an Elemental or God.

Average Life Expectancy: Nearly immortal. (10'000+ years, in theory. The oldest Draconian, the child of Cachera, is still alive at 9,872 years old.)

Skin Aid: Think a dragon. Now think of that, except as a humanoid. That is a Draconian. If more aid is needed, search "half dragon", and look for the more human-like pictures. Our dear friend Google seems to have a multitude of good examples. Also, in terms of skin colour, it should *not* be bright shades. Stick to dark shades. Dragons are not bright creatures.



Draconian Culture: Draconians live together in Dens, Which function very similarly to the dwarven mountainhomes. Each Den has its` own council of elders, but in times of crisis the eldest of each Den are sent to serve as a unified government. Draconians are highly familial, eggs are laid and taken to a hatchery, where lava flows under the floors to keep the room hot enough to keep the eggs safe. When an egg is close to hatching, the family is called to be the ones to carry the newborn to the family home and given a family name. Once old enough a draconian is assigned a token, which represents their characteristics. This token will stay with them for life, and the method of exile for draconians is to take away this token, Any draconian without a token is considered an exile.
