Very legitimate character application

126 years ago a small Dwarven family was cheering for their healthy newborn. Varrins were living in a decently sized Dwarven port town, an unusual location to say the least. It was peaceful, ships came and went, rarely anyone from outside stayed for too long before departing. Trevis was never meant to become a priest, alas, the fate rarely brings us what we expect.

His birth givers were owners and of a fine tavern, with drinks and sea stories aplenty, and he was supposed to follow their steps. From learning the craft, he still has many recipes in his head, some more lethal than others. Stout ales, delicate wines and, for special customers, poisons that got the job done quickly.

However, let's say that Trevis, being still young and filled with lust for adventure, wasn't quite excited with the idea of him spending rest of his life like this. At the mere age of 30, a distinct ship arrived, the priests of Sarilus docked for resupplying before they were to go on their way. This was Trevis' chance, for while he lacked both posture needed to be a warrior and the aim of a ranger, he could surely be a priest wielding powers of the gods. For most of his money, he was accepted onto the ship and into the order, leaving his aging family behind without a note.

By ways far harder than he expected, he was taught using power words, wielding pollaxes and warhammers, and, of course, helped him with his lack of patience and humility. He wasn't however a regular priest, and focused on battling as opposed to regular healing, thus spent most of his time by learning to hide in shadows of his god, and casting fireballs. Of course he also spent time on polishing the art of healing, giving him ability to regenerate one's flesh with blessing of Sarilius.

By the time he left the safe haven of his order, he was 93, sent with mission of cleansing corruption from this world, and so he did, for nearly 32 years, traveling, healing, burning, hiding, cleansing. Mostly moving through various ships that happened to pass by, he paid mostly by the money that citizens happily gave him after he got rid of a local problem or two. Over the time, however, his faith in the God of Earth has diminished to the point where his powers are treated by him as mere random spells, and the deeds he does are mostly out of his nature now.

By that point, an unexpected thing happened, while traveling to another island his ship got caught by a sudden storm, and he was knocked unconscious by hitting side of the ship. Perhaps as a last favour from his God, perhaps by sheer luck, he had awoken near unknown looking land, without much choice he decided to explore the unknown place. Land seemed at least colonized before, with some ruins of the houses.

Soon he journeyed deeper into the land, impressed by both flora and fauna of the continent. And then, he saw something he didn't expect, a city with movement inside it, as he moves towards it, he wonders: Should he stay here ? Will he find a new destiny ? Perhaps, it's time to please his surely deceased parents whom he abandoned... One way or another, he needs to get some well-deserved sleep.
